A beautifully illustrated manuscript on parchment inscribed with impressive calligraphy. Each illustration is a work of art and enhanced with decorative elements as leaves, flowers, birds and animals.

The manuscript opens with a striking title page featuring miniature images of characters from Tanach including Avraham Avinu, Yaakov Avinu, Moshe Rabbeinu, and Dovid Hamelech playing on his harp and herding his flock of sheep.
 
 
Content: Order of Prayers for the Day of a Bris Milah; Order of Blessings for a Bris Milah; Birkas Hamazon; Order of Pidyon Ha’ben; and assorted customs and segulos by Rabbi David Lida, Av Beis Din of Amsterdam.

In the 18th century, the art of illustrating manuscripts on parchments resurfaced for a period of time in Germany. The present manuscript clearly represents this school of art which spans both artistic calligraphy and exceptional illustrations, all executed to perfection.
Both the sefer and title page text are excerpted from the sefer Sod Hashem (Amsterdam, 1709).
