Impressive Silver belt buckle for Yom Kippur. Presumably Poland, early to mid-19th century
Unmarked, finely-embossed, engraved, and cut belt buckle used on Yom Kippur. The design features two lions flanking a decorated medallion inscribed with the verse, “For on this day He will forgive you, to cleanse you of all your sins, before Hashem you shall be purified.” It is surrounded by floral ornaments. The item is crafted with two elongated loops to attach it to a belt.
