Engraved Matzah Redler. Extremely rare. 19th century or earlier.
Description: A heavy, high-quality matzah dough perforator with an unusual pistol-shaped handle and finger hole to facilitate use. A brass wheel with teeth is attached to the end of the slanted rod for the purpose of perforating the matzah dough.
The wheel is finely engraved with the verse, "
And they baked the dough that they brought out of Egypt into unleavened cakes, for it was not leavened.” (Shmos 12:39)
To the best of Genazym’s knowledge, there is no other known matzah redler anywhere in the world like this one!
