Exquisite 15th Century Manuscript, of the order of prayers according to the custom of the Italian Jews which is based on the ancient nusach from the times of the Bais Hamikdash known as Nusach Eretz Yisroel. Includes the earliest Italian piyyutim, and laws and customs practiced in Italy and the complete order of the haftaros.

Over 900 pages written entirely on parchment, in fine and neat writing, with impressive wide margins and in good condition.

An historical manuscript that preserves the original and ancient nusach of the order of prayer and customs of the early Jews who settled in Italy, known as ‘Machzor Bnei Roma’ (the Machzor of the Romans). brought to Rome by the exiles of Jerusalem following the destruction of the Second Beis Hamikdash.The machzor is distinctive in the nusach of regular prayers and for the piyyutim included.

Haftaros: one of the notable features of this beautiful prayer book is the complete order of the Haftoros said on Shabbat, all the weekly Haftoros for the whole year are written in the manuscript before us.
