An invitation letter signed by the founder of the Rachmastrivka dynasty, the holy Rabbi Yochanan Twersky, son of the holy Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl. For the wedding of his grandson, the Admor Rabbi Dovidl Twersky of Rachmastrivka, son of his son the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Rachmastrivka, with his cousin [Rebbetzin Shifra] the daughter of the Admor Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel Twersky of Skver, son of the holy Rabbi Yitzchak of Skver, son of the holy Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl.
 
 
The groom and bride were first cousins, as both the groom’s father and the bride’s father were grandsons of the holy Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl.
 
 
The Admor, the holy Rabbi Yochanan of Rachmastrivka (1816-1895), founder of the Rachmastrivka dynasty. Son of the holy Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl, son of the holy Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl author of “Maor Einayim”. He was the eldest of the Admorim of his generation and all recognized his spiritual authority, yet he conducted himself with great humility and modesty. His father testified about him that his soul was from the soul of Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakai, and when this was said to him, he humbly replied: Indeed my name is Yochanan and my father is Zakai.
 
 
The groom, Rabbi Dovidl of Rachmastrivka (1872-1951) served as Admor in Jerusalem after the passing of his father in 1936. His son was the Admor Rabbi Yochanan of Rachmastrivka, grandfather of the current Rachmastrivka Rebbe.
