Handwritten and autographed latter of the Admor Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Rubin, Av Beis Din of Cheshinov and grandson of the Dvirei Chaim of Sanz, regarding a deed of forgiveness written for the annulment of an engagement.
 
The Admor Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Rubin of Cheshinov (1881-1942), son of the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Rubin (son-in-law of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz), was renowned for his extreme righteousness and piety. Rabbi Aryeh Leibush married the daughter of his cousin the Admor Rabbi Simcha Yissachar Ber Halberstam of Cheshinov where he was appointed Rabbi and Admor before the First World War. During the Holocaust years, he was exiled to Siberia where he perished, Hy”d. Rabbi Aryeh Leib was a genius and prolific scholar who was ordained by the Maharash Engel and Rabbi Meir Arik. In 1923, he settled in Tomashov, Poland where he founded a famous yeshivah. Sadly, all his writings were lost in the Holocaust.
Rabbi Aryeh Leibush was the father-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam of Bobov who rebuilt the Bobover dynasty in America and ancestor of the subsequent Admorim of Bobov.
