An important, comprehensive commentary on Megillas Esther by Rabbi Shem Tov Melamed.
The text of the Megillah is printed in block letters, with the commentary appearing after each respective verse in Rashi script.
Rabbi Shem Tov Melamed authored Kesser Shem Tov al HaTorah (Venice, 1596). As one of the great Rabbinical figures in Moorea, Turkey, he was renowned as a genius who disseminated Torah to many students. His son is the famous Rabbi Melamed, author of Shu”t Mishpat Tzedek.
Printed by Yosef Yaabetz, grandson of the chassid Rabbi Yosef Yaabetz. The Yaabetz family press was one of the most eminent printing houses in all of Constantinople. It was active for over thirty years, in the course of which it printed dozens of important sifrei kodesh.
