Kabbalistic intentions of prayers, the Arizal’s customs and essays of the teachings of the Arizal.
The sefer opens (leaves 2-13) with Shivchei Ha’Ar”i which recounts the life story and praises of the Arizal Hakadosh. The present version was new and differed from the previous version printed in Taalumos Chochmah (Basel, 1629). It is based on the manuscript of Toldos Ha’Ari and on Emek Hamelech by Rabbi Naftali Bachrach (Amsterdam, 1648) which was compiled from letters written by Rabbi Shlomo Shlomil.
 
This edition is the first to title this work “Shivchei Ha’Ar”i” which has become its common name.
 
Constantinople, 1720. First edition of this version. Page Count: [1], 77 leaves.
Page Size: 20 cm.
Condition: Margins of leaf 2 restored, and another miniscule restorations on title page and assorted leaves. Antique leather binding. Very rare.
