Sefer Beis Yitzchak on hilchos treifos with a handwritten dedication by the author Rabbi ‎Yitzchak ben Rabbi Eliezer of Munkacs to the Yismach Moshe, Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum of Ujhel. Father of the Sighet-Satmar Dynasty.‎
The Beis Yitzchak inscribed a 
personal dedication in the upper part of the title page.‎

 

He writes: “A gift from me, the 
author, to the Rabbi… who is well known, Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum, ‎Av 
Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta of the Ohel community, may he also be blessed.”‎

 

This present sefer includes hundreds of handwritten comments, remarks and chiddushim on the ‎page 
margins. (Seemingly, these were not written by the Yismach Moshe.) ‎

 

Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum (1759-1841),  
author of the Yismach Moshe, was a leading scholar of his time and one of the 
celebrated teachers of Chassidus in Hungary. He is the father of the Sighet-‎Satmar dynasty and was renowned as a miracle-worker. It is told 
that when the Ksav Sofer took ill, ‎his father the Chasam 
Sofer sent word to the Yismach Moshe to pray on his behalf.

 

The Beis Yitzchak was an expert in the laws of shechitah and bedikos, and his sefarim Beis Yitzchak ‎and Ohel Yitzchak were used extensively by shochtim, bodkim, and Rabbanim during his era
