Small format (11 cm) Sefer Tehillim printed with beautiful calligraphy letters, and interleaved pages.
The present edition was printed with Hebrew letters only, without any Latin inscription since it was published exclusively for the Jewish community.
Interleaved: This Tehillim contains interleaves – a blank page between each printed leaf – designated for writing notes and comments.
Leaves 190b-192a feature aunique title page titled “Kriah Meshunah” which is a list of kri u’ksiv and variances in nusach in the text.
Colophon: Nic. Episcopium… & Basileae apud Hier Frobenium.
The printer’s emblem appears on the title page and on the last page of the sefer.
Basel, 1547. Page Count: [192] leaves. Page Size: 11 cm. Miniscule damage to margins of several pages. Title page with small tear but no damage to text and minor restoration at margin. Antique worn parchment binding with engravings and clasps.
