Unknown Chassidic Siddur
Siddur Beis Tefillah and Tzlosa D’Nehorah Hashalem.
Ostroh, 1827
___

Siddur in Sephard-Chassidic rite with commentary, kavanos and halachos compiled and edited by Rabbi Aharon ben Rabbi Yechiel Meir Halevi Segal of Mikailiškės.

The siddur includes prayers for weekday and Shabbos, Shalosh Regalim, Yamim Noraim, Pirkei Avos, Haggadah shel Pesach, Hoshanos, Yotzros, Selichos and Zemiros for Shabbos.

This siddur contains the passage ‘K’gavna’ before Maariv of Shabbos and ‘Hodu’ before ‘Baruch she’amar’, consistent with Chassidic custom.

Leaf 51a presents the psalm ‘Lamnatzeach’ in the shape of a menorah with two lions positioned at the foot of the menorah.

Tzlosa D’Nehorah – nusach Sephard, was enthusiastically received and used by Chassidic congregations across Europe and was reprinted in numerous editions.

This siddur is unknown; it has not been studied by researchers nor listed by any bibliographers.

It is not included in Yaari’s comprehensive list of sefarim printed in Ostroh (Alei Sefer Vol. 2) or mentioned in Yulov’s essay on Siddur Nehorah (Alei Sefer Vol. 3), nor do Rivkind and Schechter, who devoted a great deal of time to studying Siddur Nehorah (Kiryat Sefer 9 p. 525; Kiryat Sefer 10 p. 250) mention it, and not even the famous bibliographer Chaim Lieberman who dealt extensively in sefarim printed in Russia and Poland (Ohel Rachel Vol. 1 p. 366).
