Distinguished provenance! The personal copy of the Admor Rabbi Leibish Halperin of Brezhen!
The Admor Rabbi Leibish Halperin of Brezhen (circa 1848-1929) was the prime disciple of the Admor Rabbi Chaim of Sanz who instructed his talmid to open a Chassidic court and promised him that he would engender miracles and salvations. The Admor of Shinova quoted his father in expressing that Rabbi Leibish Halperin was an “adam gadol” and the Maharsham would often consult with him regarding issues related to the spiritual elements of the city, such as the mikveh and accepting a new shochet. Rabbi Leibish married the daughter of the Admor Rabbi Yoel of Shatz. His teachings are eternalized in his sefer Imrei Yehudah (Munkacs, 1908).
