Halachic questions and responsa by Rabbi David Hakohein of Corfu. This sefer was printed by Eliezer son of the famous printer Gershom Soncino.
The Radach, Rabbi David Hakohein of Corfu (d. 1530) was one of great European sages in the era of the Spanish Expulsion. He corresponded extensively with the Re’em, Maharam Alshakar and Mahari ben Chaviv, author of the Ein Yaakov, as well as his own mentor Mahari Mintz. Rabbi Yosef Karo cites the Radach’s teshuvos in over twenty places in his landmark work, Beis Yosef.
Shut” HaRadach was brought to print by the author’s son-in-law and disciple Rabbi David Vital, author of Kesser Torah (Constantinople, 1538).
Constantinople, 1537-8. First edition. Title page is dated 1537, the colophon is dated 1538. [224] leaves. Page size: 20.5 cm. Upper margins of title page and other pages with professional restorations. Water and light yellow stains. Attractive new leather binding.

Provenance on title page bears the signature of
“Rabbi Yisrael Yeshaya ben Rabbi Baruch Norchi” who was a prominent Italian sage and kabbalist.
