Tikkunei Hazohar with
Chemdas Tzvi Commentary
Amsterdam, 1706

Only Edition!
___

Sefer Tikkunei Hazohar with the Chemdas Tzvi commentary by Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh ben Rabbi Yerachmiel Chatsh, author of Derech Yeshara and Shabsa D’regilah.

Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Chatsh was born in Cracow where he ascended the spiritual ladder of Torah and halachah to became one of the transmitters of kabbalah throughout Poland and Germany. He also known for other important works: Derech Yeshara; Shabsa D’regilah; and Nachalas Tzvi.

The title page is completely illustrated with an exquisite copper plate and is regarded as one of the most impressive Hebrew title pages printed in Amsterdam.
The top of the title page displays a kesser Torah held up by two deer with angels hovering above. It likewise features images of akeidas Yitzchak, Yitzchak’s blessing to Yaakov, Moshe Rabbeinu, Aharon Hakohein, David Hamelech playing the violin, Shlomo Hamelech on his royal throne; and Eliyahu Hanavi.
Includes approbation of the saintly kabbalist Rabbi Naftali Hakohein, author of Semichas Chachamim.
Some have suspected the author of this work as being affiliated with Shabbetai Tzvi (see Toras Hakana’us 71b)
Amsterdam, 1706. First and only edition. 164 leaves. Page size: 31 cm. Attractive copy in old binding in good condition.
