The Ramak
Asis Rimonim
First Edition
Venice, 1601
___
Abridged version of the sefer Pardes Rimonim by Rabbi Moshe Cordevero, the Ramak, by his disciple Rabbi Shmuel Galiko.
The sefer Pardes Rimonim (see Lot# 39) by the Ramak is described as an elemental work “for anyone who enters the pardes (orchard) of wisdom, ” which is the classic reference to the study of kabbalah. Since the Ramak’s writings were written in a profound and lengthy style, numerous kabbalistic scholars created abridged versions of his work. This sefer, Asis Rimonim, was the first such abridged work.
