This work contains two separate title pages: The first presents “The Laws of Shechitos by Mahari Weill with annotations by Rabbi Avraham ben Rabbeinu Peretz” and the second presents “The Laws of Bedikos by Mahari Weill with Laws of Nikur Habasar according to Rashi”.
On leaves [5b-6a] are 6 illustrations of shechitah knives.

The National Library in Jerusalem possesses only 2 pages of this sefer, and the rest are photocopies.The present lot offered is entirely complete!
Mahari Weill was a disciple of the Maharil and one of the great 16th century Ashkenazic sages. The present sefer is regarded as the fundamental work on laws pertaining to shechitah and bedikah, and his rulings were universally accepted throughout all Ashkenazic lands as Halachah.
The Maharshal writes, “He was the leader among the Achronim, and his waters were drunk by all who followed him.”
