Important sefer detailing the policies and rules of the chevra kaddisha
of the  Ashkenaz community in Amsterdam  , printed in 1776.
 
The present Code contains tenets and precise instructions to the chevra kaddisha regarding every aspect of their work beginning from the time of death and until burial was complete.
The title page and additional pages feature an unusual engravings of a skull and crossbones, Illustrations of vessels used by the chevra kaddisha; the emblem of the Ashkenazic Jewish community in Amsterdam are among other engravings found within. Each page of this book is framed with a border. Leaf 22b features endorsement of Rabbi Shaul of Amsterdam, Rabbi of the Ashkenazic congregation of Amsterdam and author of Binyan Ariel.
