In this letter, the acronym of the first four lines form the word אהבה, ahavah (love), symbolizing Rabbi Itzik’l’s immense love for every Jew. In his signature, he notes his illustrious lineage as a descendant of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk.
The Admor Rabbi Itzik’l of Pshevorsk (1882-1976) was a scion of the Noam Elimelech and devout chassid of the Admor of Shinova. He established his Holy Court in Pshevorsk, Poland where his name spread far and wide as a holy and pious leader.
After the Holocaust, he settled in Antwerp where thousands flocked to him for blessings.
