Handwritten headers appear at the top of the pages, along with amendments and customs throughout the text, which supports the assumption that this machzor was used by a chazzan.
To avoid confiscation by Christian authorities, a self-imposed censorship was conducted, and a thin line or border appears in various places in the text. In certain sections, there are also handwritten suggestions for more delicate versions.
First and last pages as well as several other pages in the body of the machzor are professionally restored at margins. Stains. Antique leather binding.
