Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim with Be’er Heitiv and Shaarei Teshuvah by the great sages Harav Chaim Mordechai Margalios, Av Beis Din of Dubna, and his brother Harav Efraim Zalman Margalios of Brod. This work also includes Harav Efaraim Zalman’s composition Yad Efraim.

The Shaarei Teshuvah, a synopsis of halachic rulings collected from a wide variety of responsa, evolved into a fundamental work in the study of Shulchan Aruch; and since its original printing, there has hardly been an edition of Shulchan Aruch printed without it. The Chafetz Chaim also included it in the Mishnah Brurah.

The sefer begins with approbation by the Admor Harav Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta, author of Ohev Yisrael, as well as a rare approbation by the Mitteler Rebbe of Lubavitch Harav Dov Ber. It also features endorsements by the Chasam Sofer and Nesivos Hamishpat.

In his approbation, the Apter Rav writes that although he has already penned an endorsement to the Slavita Rav for his printing of smaller editions of the Shulchan Aruch, since this contains a new composition the author should not be prevented from publishing it.

Dubna, 1820. First edition. Vol. 1: [9], 371 leaves. Vol. 2: 325, [1] leaf. Last page features a 40-year calendar. 2 volumes, with each volume boasting separate title pages, partially printed in red ink. Beautiful printing on high-quality paper. Good condition. Very rare to find this item complete and in good condition. Both volumes bound in new half-leather binding.
