Fascinating letter replete with chiddushei Torah and pilpul, handwritten and autographed by the tzaddik Harav Moshe Yochanan Sheinfeld, Av Beis Din of Valea lui Mihai and author of Nachalei Mayim.

Harav Moshe Yochanan Sheinfeld (1849-1913), Av Beis Din of Mihalipalva, was one of the famed disciples of the Ksav Sofer. In his youth, he studied under the Divrei Chaim of Sanz and later, the Yitav Lev. During that period, he befriended the Yitav Lev’s son. the Kedushas Yom Tov, and from then on, the two would visit each other frequently. Harav Moshe Yochanan’s daughter married Harav Moshe Sofer, Av Beis Din of Erlau and author of the Yad Sofer, and his grandson was the late Erlauer Rebbe, Harav Yochanan Sofer zt”l.

His writings were compiled by this said grandson, and published in Nachalei Mayim.
