Anthology of works by the renowned Chacham Rabbi Shlomo di Oliveira, leader of the Sephardic community in Amsterdam, offering useful tools to facilitate the study of Tanach, Gemara, lashon hakodesh and poetry.

1. Darchei Noam – Principles of the Talmud. This section concludes with Tuv Taam on the cantillation of the Torah and Darchei Hashem, indexes for the 613 mitzvos based on the order of the Hebrew alphabet. Amsterdam, 1689. 45; [3] leaves.

2. Shorshat Gevulos – Root words of lashon hakodesh with samples for writing poetry, including poems arranged in assorted geometric shapes. Amsterdam, 1665. 70, [2] leaves.


3. Ayeles Ahuvim – The story of Avraham and Akeidas Yitzchak in verse. Amsterdam, 1665. [2], 3-30, 31-42, [2] leaves.

4. Eitz Chaim – Root words of lashon hakodesh with Spanish translation. Concludes with a pamphlet entitled ‘Kasuv Aramis’ which presents the root words in Aramaic with their translations. Amsterdam, 1682. [6], 72 leaves.

5. Zayis Raanan – Hebrew-Spanish dictionary for words and concepts in the Mishnah, Gemara and philosophical works. Printed together with the above. 44, [5] leaves.

6. Ilan She’anafav Merubim – Hebrew-Spanish dictionary of all concepts in lashon hakodesh. Printed together with the above. 53, [1] side + [8] sides.

All bound together in good condition.
