The author added the following note in the letter margin: “Today I received a telegram that my friend, the great sage Moreinu Harav Meir Refael Don Pletzky, Av Beis Din of Ostrov [author of Kli Chemda] has traveled to Berlin to convalesce. He is one of the greatest and most illustrious sages in all of Poland, and I request that you please visit him and see how he is faring on my behalf.”
