Safra D’Tzniusa, described as the “Foundation to all the teachings of the holy Zohar, ” with in-depth explanation of every line by the Vilna Gaon.
This work was edited and prepared for print by Rabbi Yaakov Moshe of Slonim son of Rabbi Avraham ben HaGr”a, and features approbations by renowned Rabbanim of Vilna who wrote that “Only he is authorized to publish the writings of the Gr”a.”
The Radal highly commended his work on the sefer and wrote, “This is a singular work that is praiseworthy, arranged and collected precisely, with each section in its proper place” (Aliyos Eliyahu).
The sefer begins with the lengthy, celebrated foreword of Harav Chaim of Volozhin, a preface that is one of the most famous descriptions of the holiness of the Vilna Gaon and his path in the wisdom of kabbalah.
Vilna-Horodna, 1820. First edition. [6], 59, [3] leaves. Page size: 22.5 cm. Wide margins. Signs of use and light water stains at margins. Ornate red leather binding with gilded engravings.
