Chabad vs. Zionism and Mizrachi. Riveting 7-page Autographed Letter by the Admor Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn. Brooklyn, 1942

Lengthy 7-page typewritten letter signed by the Admor HaRayatz with several handwritten amendments.

The Rayatz describes his opinion at length pointing out how the approach of chassidus and particularly Chaba”d are totally at odds with the approach of Zionism and World Mizrachi.

“Not only are they different and incompatible, but they are diametric opposites and no bridge shall ever be built over the vast gulf that separates these two approaches.”
He explains the Chassidic approach and specifically “Toras Chassidus Chabad” before vehemently attacking the approach of the Zionist and Religious Zionist leaders.

This letter was written in response to the invitation of R’ Aryeh Leib Golman, Nasi of World Mizrachi, to sponsor a general assembly to boost the spirit of the Jewish People during those difficult times.

At the end of his letter, he emphasizes that the only cry that should be ever heard is the cry of “…Shema Yisrael! This is the time of the Geulah through Mashiach Tzidkeinu, and the suffering befalling us are the birth pangs of Mashiach, and Yisrael shall only be redeemed through repentance. Do not believe in the false prophets who promise you comfort and salvation after the war ends…Prepare yourselves and the members of your households to greet Mashiach Tzidkeinu who is coming soon
Mamash.”

This letter was published in Iggros HaAdmor HaRayatz Vol. 6.

Brooklyn, 1942. 7 leaves. Page size: A4. Typewritten, with handwritten corrections and autograph from Admor HaRayatz. Good condition
