Fundamental Kabbalistic Work

Leshem Shavo V’Achlamah. Jerusalem,
1924. First Edition.

Copy of Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer.

Leshem Shavo V’Achlamah is a sefer of kabbalistic guidelines written by the great kabbalist Harav Shlomo Elyashiv.

Personal copy of Harav Eliyahu Katz Dushnitzer who was a highly respected baal mussar. His signature is on the title page as well as at the end of the sefer.

Harav Eliyahu Katz Dushnitzer (1876-1949) was one of the great tzaddikim of the past generation. According to Rav Chaim Kanievsky, the Chazon Ish said that he was one of the generation’s 36 hidden tzaddikim. He was a close disciple of the Chafetz Chaim and served as mashgiach in the Chafetz Chaim’s yeshivah in Radin.

He was one of the men sent by the Chafetz Chaim to exorcise a dybbuk from a stricken girl. Those present at the well-known event recounted that the dybbuk said that in Shamayim, Harav Eliyahu was praised as, "a holy and pure mouth."

He spread Torah in Radin, Lomza, Slobodka and Yeshivas Petach Tikvah. His talmid, Harav Chaim Kanievsky shlita, published his writings under the title Nachlas Eliyahu.

Leshem Shavo V’Achlamah. Jerusalem (1924-1926) in its original jacket. An original sticker appears in the inside cover stating that the sefer can be purchased from the Leshem’s son-in-law Harav Avraham Elyashiv, father of Harav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv.

Harav Eliyahu Dushnitzer met the Leshem when he traveled to Shavel. Before embarking on his journey, he went to receive a brachah from the Chafetz Chaim who urged him not to forfeit the opportunity to visit the Baal Haleshem.
"For in this world we can see him and come close to him, but in the world-to-come who knows if we will merit to do so?"
