This handwritten and autographed letter by Harav Shraga Dovid Pollack, Av Beis Din of Fiered was written to his contemporary, Harav Eliezer Deitsch — Av Beis Din of Bonyhad and the author of Pri Hasadeh.
In his letter, Harav Pollack apologizes that he is unable to attend a conference to which the Pri Hasadeh invited him, and also presents a halachic query. Harav Deitsch’s response to this letter was printed in Shu”t Pri Hasadeh vol.3 ch.157
Harav Shraga Dovid Pollack (1877-1911) was the son of Harav Avraham Pollack — Av Beis Din of Fiered, and grandson of Harav Moshe Segal Pollack — Av Beis Din of Bonyhad (see adjacent letter). In 1903, he succeeded his father as Av Beis Din of Fiered and filled this position until his tragic passing at the young age of 34.
