Long letter of chiddushei Torah by Hagaon Harav Shraga Tzvi Tannenbaum, author of Netah Sorek, to the Gaon of Shamloy, Hagaon Harav Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich.

This letter was dispatched in 1896 to the Gaon of Shamloy who served as Rav of T’chaba following the author’s endorsement. In this letter, Harav Shraga Tzvi Tannenbaum mentions a dvar Torah which he attributes to his son-in-law Hagaon Harav Yehudah Altman — author of Mei Yehudah.

Hagaon Harav Shraga Tzvi Tannenbaum (1826-1896), Av Beis Din of Chaht and author of Netah Sorek, was one of the leading Hungarian rabbanim in his era. In 1848, he began serving as Rav and authored numerous halachic responsa, corresponding with leading contemporary sages in Hungary. His compositions were published in Shu”t Netah Sorek and Netah Sorek al HaTorah.
