Handwritten letter by Hagaon Harav Avraham Yitzchak Bloch Hy”d, Rosh Yeshivah and Rav of Telz.

Hagaon Harav Avraham Yitzchak Bloch Hy”d (1890-1941) was the son of Mahar”il Bloch, Av Beis Din of Telz.. He was a disciple of both his father and his grandfather, Hagaon Harav Eliezer Gordon. Brilliant, perceptive and diligent, he was an eminent Torah scholar gifted with exceptional oratory and explanatory talent. In 1921 he assumed the position of Rosh Yeshivah in Telz where he taught hundreds of talmidim until his death at the hand of the Nazis. 
An autographed note by his brother-in-law Harav Avner Okliansky Hy”d, also appears in the margins of the letter. He served as Rosh Yeshivah of the yeshivah ketanah in Telz and assisted Harav Avraham Yitzchak Bloch with the administration of the yeshiva.
