Handwritten and autographed letter by Harav Meir Greenwald, Av Beis Din of Tatch and grandson of the Arugas Habosem. In this letter he extends a heartfelt appeal to support Yeshivas Toras Chessed in Tatch which was in grave financial distress.

Harav Meir Greenwald (d. 1965) was the son of Harav Avraham Yosef Greenwald, Av Beis Din of Ungvar, and the grandson of the Arugas Habosem. He married the daughter of Harav Yehuda Yechiel of Rozlo and for 14 years, served devotedly as Rav of Tatch before being exiled to Siberia during the Holocaust years.

After the war, he taught and offered spiritual and emotional support to Holocaust survivors in the displaced persons camp in Munich before emigrating from Europe and settling in Toronto, Canada. There, he served as Av Beis Din of Kehal Machzikei Torah and endeavored to plant roots of Jewish faith and Torah . His daughter married the Pupa Rav shlit”a, He authored sefer Avanim Meirim, as well as passages in Arugas Habosem on Mishnayos.
