The Mekor Baruch (1882-1941) was a leading Torah scholar  in pre-war Lithuania. He was the prime disciple of Harav Itzele Ponoviczer and had a special closeness with the Ohr Somayach. His profound work, the Mekor Baruch stirred excitement among the Rabbanim of Lithuania and their yeshivos, and he was eventually appointed President of the Union of Lithuanian Rabbis. The front side of the letter is an appeal by Harav Kalman Glissel, Av Beis Din of Tuchin (who was a prime disciple of Harav Aharon Kotler in Kletzk) to help him procure an American visa and obtain other necessary funds. On the other side is an endorsement letter signed by the Mekor Baruch.
