Two volumes of the Shas Warsaw 1867 edition. Seder Nashim and Kodshim replete with handwritten notes by Hagaon Harav Elimelech Hakohein Rubinstein, Av Beis Din of Rachov and later one of the prominent sages in Yerushalayim.
The author’s comments include numerous references to his own sefarim.
Hagaon Harav Elimelech Hakohein Rubinstein, Av Beis Din of Rachov (circa 1854-1942), was renowned as a great tzaddik and oved Hashem When he became bar mitzvah he married the daughter of Hagaon Harav Chaim Baruch Av Beis Din of Lentchna — author of the Birkas Chaim and one of the prime disciples of Rabbi Yechezkel of Kuzmir. In 1878, he was appointed Rav of Rachov, but in 1923 journeyed to the Holy Land where he was warmly received and honored by all the leaders of Yerushalayim who sought him out for wisdom, Torah and semichah. The famous kabbalist Harav Moshe Yair Weinstock was a particularly close follower, and together, they plumbed the depths of the Hidden Torah. Harav Chaim Baruch is renowned for his works including Binas Elimelech, Yad Elimelech, and Marpeh Lanefesh.
