Migdal Dovid by Rabbi Dovid Shlomo of Tolchin. Lemberg, 1873.
Commentary, Derush , Remez and Gematria by the Admor Rabbi Dovid Shlomo of Tolchin, one of the chief disciples of Rabbi Baruch of Mezhibuz.
The Admor Rabbi Dovid Shlomo of Tolchin (d. circa 1840) was one of the great disciples of Rabbi Baruch of Mezhibuz and a talmid of Rabbi Shalom Shachna of Probisht, father of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, whom he quotes in this work.
In his preface, the author’s grandson includes a remarkable letter which Rabbi Aharon Moshe of Kamenitz wrote regarding Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin stating that he possessed the exalted soul of the Baal Shem Tov.
This is the first time this famous letter was printed.
The sefer contains approbations by Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura and Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz.
