This sefer was printed at the behest of the Chozeh Mi’Lublin and boasts the following inscription on the title page:
“This sefer was published at the command of the Admor Harav Hagaon… Moreinu Harav Yaakov Yitzchak Halevi Horowitz who dwells among the holy congregation of Lublin.”

Rare and riveting approbation by the Chozeh Mi’Lublin
revealing a glimpse of his formidable avodas Hashem:
“I strongly desired to author a commentary of Seder Kodshim as it is known that it is a great mitzvah to engage [in the study of] the laws of Kodshim… Seder Kodshim is… not clarified sufficiently as other Gemaros which feature explanations and commentaries by the Maharshal z”l and the Maharam z”l… And as Bnei Yisrael’s needs are many, and they approach me constantly for counsel, prayers, and requests, I am afraid to refuse them as Hashem Yisborach helps me work wonders for Yisrael. Thus, I was very occupied and unable to write this commentary on my own, even for myself, as I did not have time to peruse the sources… For many years, I have entreated several printers to print sefer Tzon Kodashim…
