Siddur Tichlal for the Holidays. Yemen, 1863
This prayer book contains all the prayers for the High Holy Days, as well as all Jewish festivals. Beautiful and clear handwriting with decorative title page and headers .
The manuscript contains the prayers for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, the Festivals, Hoshanos, Selichos and Kinos for Tisha B’av. It also contains the Selichos of Rabbeinu Salah, the admonitions of Harav Solomon ibn Gabirol, Kesser Malchut and Shir Hashirim. Additionally, included is a Passover Haggadah with the Zevach Pesach commentary; the laws of matzah baking written in Judeo-Arabic by Harav Shlomo Salah and his brother Harav Yichyeh Salah, the Maharitz.
The Yemenite siddur (Tichlal in Yemen) was compiled by Harav Yichyeh Salah, Av Beis Din of Sana’a, who added laws, customs and elucidations under the name Eitz Chaim. This manuscript includes a compilation of the laws and instructions of the Eitz Chaim Siddur of the Maharitz.
