Order of Selichos for the entire year with a Yiddish translation by Rabbi Elyakim ben Rabbi Yaakov Shatz of Komarno.

This was the first printed edition of Rabbi Elyakim’s Yiddish translation of Selichos which served as the basis for many future translations.

The sefer opens with a magnificent title page engraved with miniature copper filaments depicting various scenes from Tanach. Two of the characters portrayed are women—Miriam and Tziporah.

Amsterdam, 1688. 80 leaves. Page size: 20 cm. Light stains in corner of margins. Worn antique leather binding. Rare.
