Handwritten letter of novellae on Tractate Chulin, written by Harav Avraham Yakov Sofer, Av Beis Din of Tet, eldest grandson and prime disciple of the Yalkut Eliezer. The letter was written in his youth.
Harav Avraham Yakov Sofer (1878-1944) Av Beis Din of Tet, was the eldest son of Harav Yisrael Mordechai Efraim Fishel Sofer, Av Beis Din of Sárvár, who was the son of the Yalkut Eliezer. Harav Avraham Chaim grew up in the home of his venerable grandfather and became one of his prime disciples. He was also a student of the Shevet Sofer of Pressburg. He perished al kiddush Hashem in Auschwitz. Selections of his novellae were published in Zichron Efraim and Shu”t Mutzal Me’esh Hashalem.
In the margins of the letter, he requests that the recipient mention his name to his Rebbe, the Zichron Yehudah of Satmar for a Bracha.
