A handwritten and autographed responsum containing Torah novellae on Pesach by Hagaon Harav Moshe Sofer, Av Beis Din of Tiszafüre (Tisa-Fired), Hungary.
Harav Moshe Sofer (D.1917) was the son of Harav Yaakov Shalom Sofer, a disciple of the Ksav Sofer and nephew of the Machaneh Chaim and Yalkut Eliezer. He authored the 2-volume Maharam Sofer al HaTorah (Tarnow, 1928) as well as extensive Torah novellae and halachic responsa.
At the start of this letter, he begins with his gratitude for the blessings received in honor of his granddaughter’s engagement (daughter of his son-in-law Harav Shimon Sofer, Av Beis Din of Sendra) to Harav Shimshon Altman son of the Gaon of Dtchata Harav Yehudah Altman, and future Av Beis Din of Paks.
Tiszafüre, 1914. 4 handwritten sides with autograph. Good condition. To the best of our knowledge, this responsum was not printed.
