Osos Hashamayim. First Edition. Zhitomir, 1805
Torah novellae and commentary on the 4 mitzvos which the Torah calls “os”, a sign: Shabbos, Yom Tov and Chol Hamoed, bris milah, and tefillin. The end of the sefer features additional commentary on laws of niddah by the Admor Harav Aryeh Leib Halevi, Av Beis Din of Strizov, who was the rebbi of the Yismach Moshe.
The sefer opens with a long endorsement by his prime disciple and cousin the Yismach Moshe who described him as, “I served him…my master and teacher…who is complete in Shas, Poskim and all wisdoms…in the Revealed and Hidden Torah, he shines with heavenly light…”
Osos Hashamayim boasts additional approbations by Harav Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev and the Kozhnitzer Maggid who attests that “I made his acquaintance here in our community, and I saw that he is a Gadol B’Yisrael.”
