A autographed letter with words of blessing and thanks by Harav Chuna Halberstam of Kolshitz. Renowned for his sanctity and purity, the Admor Harav Chuna of Kolshitz Hy”d (1884-1943) was one of the most illustrious scions of the glorious Sanzer dynasty. His great-uncle Harav Yeshaya of Chechnov, the youngest son of the Divrei Chaim, affirmed that Harav Chuna possessed many of his father’s sacred qualities and character traits. He gained repute as a miracle-worker causing thousands to flock to his door to seek his blessing, counsel and salvation.
Attached to the margin of the page is a letter from his brother the Admor Harav Chaim Baruch Halberstam Hy”d (1887-1942), Av Beis Din of Fristik. Harav Chaim Baruch was both a brother and mechutan to Rav Chuna after his daughter married Rav Chuna’s son Rav Shalom. He perished together with his entire family in the Holocaust.
