Beis Yisrael, Kabbalistic commentary on the Torah by the venerable kabbalistic sage Harav Tzvi Hirsh of Ziditchov. The book was edited and proofread by his nephew and son-in-law the Admor Harav Yehuda Tzvi of Radzil.

Harav Tzvi Hersh Eichenstein of Zidichov (1763-1831) was described as the “Sar Beis Hazohar—Minister of the House of the Zohar, ” due to his incredible mastery of the wisdom of kabbalah. His nephew Harav Yitzchak Isaac of Ziditchov attested that he once heard his uncle express that he numbered among the disciples of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai; and his nephew Harav Yitzchak Isaac of Komarno inscribed that “His soul is the soul of Moreinu Harav Chaim Vital.”
In his endorsement to Ateres Tzvi, the Bnei Yissachar inscribes: “I have not seen or heard in this generation of one who delves into the wondrous wisdom of kabbalah as he, and he is singular in his generation in the wisdom of truth.”
The flyleaf features an autographed inscription by Harav Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, Av Beis Din of Shamloy, who wrote, “I received this sefer in exchange of the above, ” and signs “Hakatan Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich.” His personal stamp likewise appears on the title page.
Harav Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich Hy”d of Shamloy (1863-1944), author of Shu”t Lechem Shlomo, was one of the illustrious Hungarian sages in the pre-Holocaust era. Raised in the home of his grandfather the Kol Aryeh, he was privileged to receive special blessings from Harav Tzvi Hirsh of Liska and the Heichal Brachah of Komarno in his early youth. It is told that at his bar mitzvah celebration, which was hosted in the home of his grandfather, he delivered a drashah that left all the guests astounded.
The Gaon of Shamloy, as he became known, was revered by his contemporary sages and halachic authorities. The Admor of Ratzfert referred all halachic questions to him, explaining “That there is no one in our generation who responds in halachah as the Rav of Shamloy.” The Admor Harav Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar likewise praised him as “the gadol hador.”
This sefer bears the autographs of his son Harav Chaim Ehrenreich Hy”d (1909-1944), his father’s assistant Rav (yunger Rav) in Shamloy, as well as the autograph of “Hakatan Zev Wolf”—Harav Zev Wolf Halevi Tirnauer, dayan in Shamloy and later Av Beis Din of Shatz. Harav Zev Wolf was a disciple of the Arugas Habosem and the son-in-law of the Admor of Nadvorna-Bania. He passed away in Tzfas in 1959.
The flyleaf likewise features the autograph of Harav Yehuda Horowitz of Dzikov, a son of the Admor Harav Alter of Dzikov. The former was raised in the home of his illustrious grandfather Harav Yisrael of Vizhnitz and married his first cousin, the daughter of the Imrei Chaim known to all as Rav Yidele, . He was a tzaddik and formidable scholar who radiated Torah and chassidus. He served as Rav in Klausenburg, yet shunned the limelight and refused reverence as a Rebbe. His published works include Mishnas Yehudah and Gilyon Mahar”i.
