Letter by Harav Moshe Sokolovsky, Author of Imrei Moshe, Regarding Yeshivas Toras Chesed in Brisk, 1927

Autographed letter by Hagaon Harav Moshe Sokolovsky, Rosh Yeshivas Toras Chesed in Brisk, renowned throughout the Torah world for his magnum opus Imrei Moshe, to Rabbi Yosef Shub, personal secretary of Hagaon Harav Chaim Ozer Grodzinski.

In this letter, he requests that Rabbi Shub present several issues and questions regarding the Yeshivah to the gadol hador.

Hagaon Harav Moshe Sokolovsky (1868-1931) was appointed by Rav Chaim Brisker to serve as Rosh Yeshivah of Toras Chesed in Brisk.

His sefer Imrei Moshe, which was published between the two world wars, was enthusiastically received in Lithuanian yeshivos. His foundations in learning, built upon pillars of profound insights and logic, illuminated the minds of the learners with clarity of understanding. He is perhaps most famous for his chiddushim on maseches Yevamos which were frequently studied and repeated by Rabbanim and students in batei medrash throughout the world.

Brisk, 1927. Personal stationery. 21×27 cm. Hole-punched .
