Beis Yisrael by Harav Tzvi Hirsch of Ziditchov. First Edition. Lemberg, 1834.

Kabbalistic commentary on the Torah by the holy sage Harav Tzvi Hirsch of Ziditchov. His manuscripts were edited by his nephew and son-in-law Harav Yehuda Tzvi of Rozdil.

Harav Tzvi Hirsch of Ziditchov (1763-1831) was known as “Sar Beis HaZohar, Minister of the House of the Zohar” due to his incredible mastery of the wisdom of kabbalah.

His nephew Harav Yitzchak Isaac of Ziditchov recounted that he once heard his uncle state that he was a disciple of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. Another nephew, Harav Yitzchak Isaac of Komarno wrote that “His soul is the soul of Rabbi Chaim Vital.”
In his endorsement to Ateres Tzvi, the Bnei Yissachar inscribes: “I have hardly seen nor heard in this generation of one like him who delves into the wondrous wisdom of kabbalah, and he is singular in his generation in the wisdom of truth.”

The page prior to the title page features the signature of Harav Dov Berish Lustman of Tzfas, a chassid of the Ziditchover Rebbe, founder of the Ziditchov Kollel in Tzfas and Rosh Kollel of Lvov in Tzfas.

Lemberg, 1834. First edition. [1], 32, 31-34 leaves (final leaf marked 40). Good condition. New binding.
