Historic! One-Of-A-Kind Letter from Brisker Rav to the Admor Harav Yoel of Satmar.
Rare letter by the Brisker Rav Hagaon Harav Yitzchak Zev Soloveitchik to the Admor Harav Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar.
This endorsement letter was written on behalf of Harav Chaim Yaakov Rottenberg of Antwerp, recommending him to the Rabbinate of the Jewish community in Brazil.
The body of the letter was handwritten by his son Hagaon Harav Yushe Ber Soloveitchik and signed with the full signature of the Brisker Rav:
Yitzchak Zev ben Hagaon Hachassid Rashkebehag Maran Chaim Halevi ztvkt”l Soloveitchik.
The Brisker Rav and Divrei Yoel cultivated a deep friendship and spent many long hours engaged in profound discussion regarding contemporary issues.
Following one of Harav Yoel Teitelbaum’s visits to the home of the Brisker Rav, the latter expressed in admiration, “I have never in my life seen a Rebbe who seeks truth as he does” (Uvdos V’Hanhagos l’Beis Brisk Vol. 4 p. 68)
