Impressive copy in parchment binding.
Sefer Minchas Kohein by Harav Avraham Cohen Pimentel.
The first section of the sefer features a composition entitled Mevo Hashemesh, which is one of the fundamental sources used to determine the precise hour of bein hashmashos. All Achronim, including the Magen Avraham, Pri Megadim, Chavas Yair and Chok L’Yaakov, cite the Minchas Kohein’s rulings as practical halachah.
Hagaon Harav Chaim Alfandri inscribed at the end of Mutzal Me’esh: “Fortunate is the giant of a man, the author of sefer Minchas Kohein z”l, who did not leave one corner untouched…and did not leave any realm to argue, and illuminated the entire world.”
Additional parts of the sefer include Mishmeres HaShabbos and Sefer Taarovos. The latter was such an impressive work that in his preface to Hilchos Taarovos the Pri Megadim summarized that “I see that the Minchas Kohein by Moreinu Harav Avraham Cohen of Pimentel generated wonders and revealed his strength and power in Sefer Taarovos. I maintain to follow in his ways, and that I shall record every new law that emerges from his writings and clarify any question or query that arises in his words.”
