The Admor Reb Nachum Dov of Sadigura’s personal Machzor. Large, ornate edition.
Machzor Shaar Bas Rabim is among the most impressive and elaborate sets of machzorim ever printed.

Two large printed volumes with wide margins. Each volume features an ornate cover page with copper engravings of angels, human forms, animals and the zodiacs described in Tefillas Tal.

Volume I: Prayers for Shabbos, Yomim Tovim, Rosh Chodesh, Purim and Tisha B’Av and Pirkei Avos with Hebrew commentary and Italian transliteration.

Volume II: Prayers for Yomim Nora’im, including prayers and special entreaties recited from Rosh Chodesh Elul until Simchas Torah.

Both title pages feature ownership stamps of “the Admor Harav Nachum Dov of Sadigura son of Harav Shalom Yosef of Ruzhin son of Harav Yisrael of Ruzhin and son-in-law of his uncle the Admor Harav Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura”.

Venice, 1711-1715. Volume I: 370 leaves. Volume II: 372 leaves, 377-384 leaves. Page size: 29×41 cm. Complete set on thick white paper in good condition. Both volumes are bound in matching new half-leather bindings.
