The Admor Harav Shalom Moskowitz of Schatz (1875-1858) was renowned as an exalted and pious Jew. Thousands flocked to his doorstep to appeal for blessings and counsel, and until this very day, his tomb in London is a popular prayer site that attracts Jews in need of salvation.
At the age of 25, he was appointed Rav of Schatz and the Bukovina. His disciple was Hagaon Harav Meir Shapira, Rosh Yeshivas of Chachmei Lublin and founder of the Daf Yomi movement. In 1927, he accepted the invitation of his chassidim in England to settle in London.
The title page features the signature of his son-in-law Harav Yoel of Schatz-Montreal (1907-1980).
