Rabbi Chaim Palagi’s Promise
In the preface to this work, Rabbi Chaim Palagi delivers his personal promise
“To one who grasps onto this Torah work, and from now prays in the order that I arranged, I promise that he shall enjoy longevity without pain or tribulation or failed strength. Rather, he shall enjoy relief and pleasure, a good life without any pain, all the days of his life.”
Izmir, 1880. Two editions of this booklet were published in the same year. The first was printed sans a title page; the second, printed shortly afterward, includes both a title page and several amendments.
