The wedding of the only daughter of the Minchas Elazar of Munkacz made waves throughout the Hungarian Chassidic world at the time and was regarded as a major Chassidic event .

The Berach Moshe of Satmar zy”a, expressed in his haskamah to his sefer Zivchei Shlomo that “Words of the lips fall short of truly writing the praises, greatness and righteousness of the author zt”l…He was a sage replete with Torah and righteousness. He disseminated Torah and fear of heaven to countless throughout many years, and he cleaved to the sages of his generation. He was a disciple and beloved as a son to the Atzei Chaim of Sighet, and was especially bound with love to my uncle (the Divray Yoel ) ztvk”l throughout the days of their lives.”
After the Holocaust, Harav Shlomo Friedman served as Av Beis Din in Lugano, Switzerland, and passed away in 1980.
