Handwritten, autographed letter by Hagaon Harav Binyamin Fuchs, Av Beis Din of Grosswardein regarding a Jewish community that planned to lower its rabbi’s salary.
In this letter, Harav Binyamin Fuchs strongly espouses that, under no circumstances, may a Jewish community dare to disgrace the honor of Torah by reducing the salary paid to its Rav. He added that in the event that community leaders ignored his appeal, he would instruct the shochtim and bodkim in their city not to slaughter any meat, and if they would continue despite his order, the shechitah would be treif.

He was a disciple of the Shevet Sofer and others . At the young age of 24, he was appointed Rav, and in 1918 succeeded his father in Grosswardein. Most of his writings were lost in the Holocaust.
